- Boomtowns were put up, because of the rush of people coming to the west.
-The Comstock Lode "named after miner Henry Comstock" was bonanza of precious ore. It also caused a lot of the people to come to Nevada because of the ores precious value. It was claimed to be the largest of American silver strikes. -In those days people didn't have the proper equipment for mining, so it was very dangerous and many people died.
-People came from all over the world to join in these riches.
